    Therapy offers a space to verbalize your experiences, sort through them, and connect them to feelings. This begins the process of change and self awareness. My priority is to provide a space where you can do this without judgment and feel safe, heard, and understood.

    When we take time to examine our thoughts and feelings we create an awareness that helps us move through life in a new way. No single approach fits every person and my goal is to figure out the most helpful therapeutic methods and tools for each individual and I believe that this is a collaborative process. I am repeatedly inspired by the resilience, healing, and change I see in those I work with.

  • Individual Therapy

    Individual therapy is useful for a variety of concerns, including processing major or traumatic events, sorting through experiences to understand their meaning, gain perspective, make a difficult decision, create meaningful and lasting change, seek support in difficult or transitional times of life or simply to understand yourself better.

  • Couples Therapy

    Couples therapy can be useful to all couples in improving communication and deepening your understanding of each other. I have worked with couples doing pre martial counseling, and couples who are in committed partnerships who want to address issues before they become perpetual problems. I also work with couples to address chronic relational problems, new relationship challenges as they develop, or to determine if you want to stay together. I also see couples who are looking to recover after an affair.

  • What does Marriage and Family Therapist mean?

    Whether single, in a relationship, or a part of a family, relationships are difficult. Life has many elements, our relationships being one of the most important. Learning how to set boundaries, identify your needs and feelings, communicate these needs and feelings are fundamental skills many of us do not get. Marriage and family therapists help with these skills, in addition to all other typical therapy skills such as emotion processing, diagnostic skills, working through trauma…etc.
